The Founder’s Day Parade took place on August 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM, organized by Silliman University to celebrate its anniversary. As a working committee member, I assisted in taking attendances from the people in my college for the parade and ensuring participants’ attendances signed in and out. The parade featured various floats, performances, and student organizations.
This event demonstrated the importance of honoring traditions and celebrating milestones. Initially, I expected the parade to be straightforward, but the creativity and effort put into the floats and performances amazed me. One float, in particular, stood out for its innovative design and symbolism. The most rewarding part was witnessing the community’s pride and enthusiasm.
This experience encouraged me to value tradition and collective efforts in creating memorable events. I plan to stay involved in future Founder’s Day celebrations and contribute more creatively. If I could improve this, I would suggest integrating more interactive elements for the audience.
Because of this activity, I am more appreciative of the role traditions play in fostering cultural spirit.
