Chess Tournament

The Chess Tournament was held on October 26, 2024, at 8:00 AM. Organized by Atty. Luigi Jaro, the event aimed to promote strategic thinking and friendly competition. I participated as a spectator, observing the intense matches. Competitors ranged from students to faculty members with a passion for chess.

This event deepened my appreciation for strategic games and the concentration they require. Initially, I expected a casual atmosphere, but the level of focus and competitiveness among players amazed me. One player caught my attention, it was a disabled person playing chess, that left a strong impression on me because despite the condition he is in, he can still play chess fairly against someone else. The most satisfying part was witnessing the respect and sportsmanship displayed by all participants.

This experience has inspired me to learn more about chess and explore its benefits for critical thinking. I wish to join future tournaments as a participant. If I could improve this experience, I would volunteer to help organize the event.

Because of this activity, I am more inspired to develop strategic and analytical skills.
