The CCS Acquaintance Party was held on September 28, 2024, at 6:00 PM by Silliman University’s College of Computer Studies. It was an opportunity for students and faculty to interact and bond through games, performances, and shared meals. I participated as an attendee, engaging with my peers and faculty.
This event fostered a sense of belonging and connection. Initially, I expected a casual gathering, but the level of effort put into organizing fun activities and performances surprised me. The speakers' humorous hosting style left a lasting impression. The most enjoyable part was the camaraderie built through shared experiences.
This activity reinforced my belief in the importance of building relationships within an academic community. I plan to participate in future acquaintance parties and possibly help organize one. If I could improve this event, I would include more interactive activities to engage everyone.
Because of this activity, I am more connected to my peers and faculty in the College of Computer Studies.
