Fr Mark Walker - St Aidan's Parish Priest

Fr Mark grew up in Hertfordshire, attending school in St Albans before studying history at the University of Durham. After graduating he entered formation for the priesthood at Allen Hall, the seminary of the Diocese of Westminster, in 2007. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2013 and spent four yours as the assistant priest at Our Lady Help of Christians, Rickmansworth, St John the Evangelist, Mill End and Maple Cross and St John Fisher, Chorleywood. He then spent five years as the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, assisting in the work of the diocesan youth service, working with young people in parishes, schools and on retreats and acting as chaplain to the Redcaps on the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes.

He was appointed parish priest of St Aidan of Lindisfarne, East Acton, in 2022 and also assists the work of the Sick and Retired Priests Committee, looking after priests from the diocese who are retired.

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish

Welcome to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Acton led by the Spiritans Congregation.  Our parish is supported by our Parish Priest, Fr. Patrick Adusei Poku CSSp, Assistant Priest Fr. Jude Kurumeh CSSp and Parish Deacon, Rev Tito Pereira.

“We are a Roman Catholic Religious Congregation founded in 1703. Over 300 years on, over 3000 professed and lay Spiritans, drawn from all continents, today carry out their mission of evangelization in more than 60 countries throughout the world”

Our Lady of Lourdes is a wonderful community for both priests and laity to respond to the challenge of the gospel and the call of Jesus Christ in His mission statement to be ‘good news’ to the poor, which here in Acton we too hear in our hearts.
