Our wonderful Year 5 classes showed true resilience in this academic year as they performed their May Procession in the outdoors for the whole school to join.
This was our first whole school event in which everyone was present - the Year 5 children were tremendously brave!

The children of St Vincent's attended Mass at St Aidan's and Our Lady of Lourdes this weekend. The parishioners were extremely grateful for the kindness of our children as they handed out their birthday cards.

On the great Feast of Pentecost this weekend, our children are so looking forward to celebrating Mass in our two school parishes and handing out ‘birthday’ cards to all the parishioners in our community. We are always grateful to God for His spirit that flows through our school!

Building the Kingdom
Building the Kingdom
Building the Kingdom project at St Vincent’s has continued throughout the year. Our new Building the Kingdom Award has had a number of recipients - we acknowledged the tremendous contribution to school of our parish priest, Fr Fergal MaGuire, and our friend Fr Fintan Crotty who went home to God this week. A real focus this academic year has also been focused on giving our children the courage to speak out and make a difference using inspirational figures such as Martin Luther King!

Advent Fundraising Day
Advent Fundraising Day organised by our Year 6 RE Ambassadors. They extend a heartfelt thank you to our school community for their generosity to our Advent Charity Caritas and Bakhita House for whom we raised the very generous sum of £1053.71! £529 raised online and the rest on the day in school. We are enormously grateful to our very generous parents, staff and families. Thank you so very much!

Remembrance 2020 was marked across the school. Representatives from Year 6 joined our Ealing Deanery Schools in prayer while in school a reflection and a 2 minute silence took place as well as a viewing of Year 5's wonderful Remembrance assembly.

The children took part in Think Green, Go Green for CAFOD ran by our Eco Warriors this year focusing on raising money for our Supergrounds and continuing to promote the message of Pope Francis in Laudato Si.

Once again, our school community showed a huge amount of generosity as they collected food during the Harvest Festival. All of this will be redistributed into food parcels for our own community this year in the face of the continuing pandemic.

Our Eco Warrior Team worked incredibly hard submitting their Season of Creation video to the Diocese. All of their efforts to support Pope Francis Laudato Si initiative have not gone unnoticed as they won the competition. The Diocese report can be found here.
St Vincent's Day
St Vincent's Day
The children were able to enjoy a St Vincent's Day celebration within their class bubbles this year. Ice cream was provided generously by our local ice cream vendor and the celebration extended to a BBQ lunch and movie morning! In the memory of St Vincent, over £1,000 was raised by our incredible community. In light of the pandemic and overwhelming generosity this money will be shared by the St Vincent de Paul Society and create a hardship fund within our own school community!

Welcome Back Mass 2020
With COVID restrictions in force, Masses returned to St Vincent with one year group in attendance whilst the rest of the school watched from their classrooms.
We hope that this will change as the year moves on!
