This was our first official project in Adobe InDesign. For this project we had to create a pamphlet for our Instructors 40th year class reunion. For this design we had to include various information in regards to the celebration. This was our community project, and served as our first experience with working with "clients, customers, and deadlines" for a project. It was a great learning experience.
For this project we had to create our own yearbook page. First Hodge made us create a template where we'd outline the overall placement of the content in the Yearbook. After creating the template when then used the same template to create our own personal yearbook page. On the page we had to include at least 5-6 pictures of ourselves or of things that are important to us; along with the picture we needed to write up a caption to go with it. And lastly we had to add a quote that was your personal favorite. I did a Fast & Furious quote, because at the time I had rewatched the movies and they became my personality.
For this InDesign project we were tasked to create a spread for two of our families homemade or often used recipes. For mine I decided to do Peach Cobbler and Chunky Brookies. Both recipes (other than my mom's famous yellow cake), Happen to be a staple when it comes to desserts in my house. For the the spread we had to include the ingredients and directions for making the your chosen recipes, along with a picture of the finished product. For this project we utilized various tools including paragraph styles, character styles, and object styles. We used this to to help simplify the formatting process when it comes to add items specifically text, unto the page(s).
For this project we were tasked by Mr. Hodge to create a concert poster for Ms. Hayes for the Fall Dance Concert. We were given set information that needed to be placed in the poster and had to be to the clients (Ms. Hayes) liking. This is the second project we've done for a client with a design brief. (design brief details all the clients wants and needs in a project) In this poster I created a silhouette of a dancer and placed other images of dancers around the large silhouette. That is probably the highlight of my design.
This was a optional redesign project, given to us by the Men Tennis coach to create poster advertising the upcoming Men's tennis season. Hodge wanted us to redesign the original version to create one that was more stylistic, organized and functional than the original. This was my finished product.
For this project we had to create brochures for curriculum night showcasing information and details about the class. For this project we had to utilize the the principles of design in orders to construct a brochure that not only explains what you'll be doing in class but is also a physical representation of the work you'll be doing.
One of my favorite projects to do in this class. For this project we got to showcase our creativity and skills in Adobe InDesign. This is my second time doing this project and I loved seeing my improvement from the first one. For this project I utilized my knowledge in the software to be able to create a 12 month calendar inspired by the Tv Show "Avatar: The Last Airbender" This is a christmas gift for my brother so I collaborated with him to help with look and design aspects he wanted in the calendar. I love this project.
