COLLAGE

What is collage? Collage is a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric on to a backing. Your task is to create a collage. It can be anything you would like - an animal, a landscape, food, a person, or a design. Using a magazine or newspaper, tear or cut the material into pieces, shape the pieces onto a paper and glue them down. You may want to do a quick sketch of the object you are wanting to make, and then glue your paper on top of your sketch. You may choose to spell out a message using magazine letters or words. Be creative! You will need paper, magazines, glue, scissors (optional), and a pencil (optional). Examine the examples. What do you like about them? Which is your favorite?
