SBA Video Contest: "Why I LOVE Band"
The Saskatchewan Band Association (SBA) invites ALL band enthusiasts - band students, band parents, grandparents, band directors, community band musicians etc.- to create a short and fun video of about 30-60 seconds highlighting why you love band.
COVID-19 not only halted school, it also impacted the various Band Festivals, school and community band concerts and now it is significantly impacting the ability of Band Directors to recruit new band participants for next year’s band programs. Successful band recruitment is critical to the overall health and diversity of all bands in the years to come.
You can help! Show your enthusiasm for band & help us encourage others to join band for the upcoming year. These messages - your messages - will be used to encourage new students and parents to consider joining band this coming fall and beyond.
We want everyone to have the opportunity to experience all of the benefits band has to offer!
Contest closes at 11:59 p.m. Sunday May 24, 2020.

BONUS Prize Draw - this is a single prize that will be awarded to ONE lucky elementary or secondary school. How does it work? Each Contest Participant can "nominate" the school/school band of their choice as part of their Contest Entry Form. Yes that means a student, a grandparent, a community band member - ANYONE who enters the contest and submits a video can nominate a school program. Every time a school is nominated - they will be entered into the Bonus Prize Draw... the more times a single school is nominated the more times it will be entered.
