The inspiration behind this piece is the sunlight peeking through the forest canopy. It's a very serene and beautiful part of nature that I've always admired.

The leaves are made with acrylic black paint and the sunshine was brought to life by different variations of yellow water colors.

The yellow helped to emphasize the contrast between the negative and positive space.
