Artist statement:

• The reason that we made this was to learn how to use charcoal to make art.
• The things that I used for this project was a piece of toned paper, a ruler, a pencil, and different shades of charcoal.
• To start this I first used a pencil and a ruler to make a grid on the toned paper and my reference picture with some math to make sure that they match, then used a viewfinder to fill in the squares that I had made from the to left to the bottom right, I think that this was one of my better realistic art pieces, and if we do another one, I am going to try and use the viewfinder more than I have in this project and in the past.
