The main idea behind all of these pieces was pure contour lines. This means no sketchy lines. You draw the main lines of the object, boldly, with no shading or other detail. And, we were drawing from real life. It was crucial and important to not be moving around and keeping your perspective the same. This was followed for all artwork.

The materials used were 2H and 2B pencils on drawing paper.

I started with a 2H pencil to sketch the main shapes and scale of the object. I chose this pencil because it is light and easily erases mistakes. Once I had the shape down, I used a 2B pencil to darken the lines, especially the main outline. Then I erased any light or sketchy leftover lines to create a clean and bold drawing. In revision, I wish I had used a darker pencil to create even bolder lines. I also wish I had made the lines thicker because it occurred to me that I could do so. I may go back and do these things.
