This video is an educational video to help new or old Volleyball players to do a spike/hit.
The reason we did this is to help volleyball players know how to get the most out of their own hit. To support our claim we decided to take the physics we know and incorporate into the videos and find what worked best and what angles and force you should do for a good volleyball hit/spike.
For the past 1 or 2 weeks my group of 2 other girls and I brainstormed and completed an educational video for new or old volleyball players to get the most out of a spike/hit.
In the first 3 days we started brainstorming what sport we can do and are pretty good at. We ended up doing Volleyball because she has been doing Volleyball for a long time.So we started with the Storyboard and that will we be talking about next we started Filming
At the end of the week leading into the start of the next week we started filming the movements to get the calculations so we see that it works. We looked for the angle , the force applied downwards, total velocity,Vertical and horizontal velocity. When we finished the calculations we started editing the videos and doing a script for the voice over.
At the end of week 2 we voiced over and finished editing. We revised it and fixed the little mistakes we made.
Force of impact = Total impact force on something
Horizontal velocity = Average speed on a flat surface within no outside forces
Vertical velocity = Velocity of a falling object going up or down
Total Velocity = Total velocity
This was my second project of the year and I think my group did a good job. This unit really helped me understand better my past unit and helped me come up with ideas of my own, something I struggled in my last group.
Some ways I feel I did well in understanding and doing my calculations. Something I kinda struggled with on my last unit . Another thing I think I did well in is being a team player because everyone in my group separated everything equally and we all helped each other when we were struggling.I also learned that I can carry my own weight because I felt like last unit my team members were doing more than me in a way. I do want to improve on my ability to do some of the calculations without help because I did ask for help a lot.Other thing I also want to improve on is having a clear plan in the beginning because in the start of the project I was a little lost until I got a clear understanding of what we needed. The goal was to make an educational video to help new or old Volleyball players to do a spike/hit with physics behind it and I think we did a really good
