For this final quarter, I will discuss how the project I completed over the course of the quarter helped me understand 3D modeling better, how my understanding of 3D modeling has improved, and how I applied knowledge from previous quarters to this one.
The whole project I developed over the quarter helped me understand modeling more by teaching me what I can do under a large project's deadline and what I can do better in the future.
Every segment of the project over this quarter has taught me a little bit of everything: PBM 1 taught me a little bit of how to model a humanoid shape, how to proportion it right, and how to make it look believably alive and able to move; PBM 2 reinforced how time consuming PBM modeling is, but also how worth it it is for a unique and special model; PBM 3 taught me how to model my own scene, and also make it believable in it's existence; PBM 4 helped me with animation, again showing me how hard, but worth it, it is as tool; and PBM 5 taught me how to make a larger scene, and how to expand as smaller one, and how to use the further space to flesh out the scene.
I used all the skills I acquired over the course of the year to effectively follow through on this quarter's project: I used modifiers, basic objects, and sub-object editing from quarter 1 to create the basic shapes of my model; I used sub-object and UVW texturing from Quarter 2 to texture my model and its surroundings; and I used animation, lighting, and cameras from Quarter 3 to give light up my scene and make it lively.
