For applying new knowledge, I made a board to display everything I learned. I made different components online like our action, mission, and math, writing, and japanese components. I also updated my website with each and every thing that I printed out and the process. I also made a script so that I could speak clearly. knn This helped me organize my ideas in a clear and visual way. I used the Core Value of being an Effective Communicator because I talked with my teammates about the design of the board. For example, we shared ideas, decided what information to include, and worked together to make it look clear and organized. This teamwork helped us create a stronger final product. Another reason I was an Effective Communicator was because I planned and brainstormed with my mentor teacher. During this time, I asked questions and listened to feedback to improve our board. This helped me understand what changes we needed to make. I also made sure to explain my ideas clearly so others could understand them. The last reason I was an Effective Communicator was because I explained our board to Ms. Christy to get it checked. I spoke clearly and made sure she understood our ideas. I also answered her questions and listened carefully to her suggestions. This helped us make final improvements to our board. It went well because people approved of our ideas and gave us positive feedback. This showed that our communication was clear and effective. Overall, I learned that good communication helps create better work and stronger teamwork.

While I was digging deeper into my research, I found out which organizations we would have face-to-face interviews with. Both of these sources were international and very well known. I also figured out when we would meet with them. Also I made a question sheet so I could remember what to ask. This made the information more reliable and meaningful for my project. I used the Core Value of being an Effective Communicator because I spoke clearly and had good conversations during my interview with World Vision. I made sure to stay respectful and focused while speaking. I asked thoughtful questions and listened carefully to their answers so I could understand more. This helped me learn details that I wouldn’t find online. I also asked Mia questions during our interview with The Nippon Foundation to make sure I didn’t miss important information. This showed that I was paying attention and staying engaged. Another way I showed I was an Effective Communicator was by talking with my mentor teacher and my teammates while we were navigating during our field trip. I shared my ideas so the group could work better together. For example, I shared ideas, asked for help when I was confused, and made sure everyone understood what we were doing. This helped our group stay organized and on track. I also listened to other people’s ideas and respected their opinions. I am usually very talkative, so it was easy for me to communicate and work with others. However, I also made sure not to talk too much and gave others a chance to speak. Overall, my communication skills helped me succeed during my research and teamwork.

I found a lot of information on Google, and I also did interviews with different organizations to get as much information as possible. This helped me gather different perspectives and made my research stronger. I also did lots of different goal setting. For example I did Learner Profile and ATL Goal setting. We also learned how to do mentor meeting notes to keep track of what we talked about. Also we made our provocation pictures and driving questions. I demonstrated the Core Value of being an Effective Problem Solver because I faced challenges while taking research notes. For example, it was hard to keep my notes organized while I was still researching. Sometimes I had too much information and didn’t know what to write down, so I had to decide what was most important. This taught me how to pick out key details instead of writing everything. I also had trouble finishing all my notes on time, so I had to work faster and stay focused. I learned how to manage my time better during the process. When I got stuck, I kept going instead of giving up and tried different ways to take notes, like writing shorter points. This made my notes quicker and easier to understand. I also started grouping similar ideas together to stay more organized. The biggest challenge I had was completing all my research notes on time. This showed me that I need to improve my time management skills. Next time, I could be more organized by keeping my notes in one place and planning my time better. I could also set smaller goals to finish parts of my work step by step. That way, I wouldn’t feel as overwhelmed. Being more prepared would help me stay on track. Overall, I learned a lot about staying focused and organized during research.

Before I started researching, I learned how to cite sources and find information on Google using keywords. Me and my team made lines of inquiries. We set our learner profile and ATL goals. I made different strategies to help me understand that using the right keywords would help me find better and more accurate information. I also learned that citing sources is important because it gives credit to where the information came from. I used the Core Value of being an Effective Problem Solver by learning the easiest and fastest ways to get information so I could move quicker. For example, I used more specific keywords instead of general ones, which helped me find better sources. This made my research more efficient and less confusing. I also checked more than one website to make sure the information was correct. Doing this helped me avoid using false or unreliable information. When I couldn’t find what I needed, I changed my keywords and tried again instead of giving up. This showed that I was willing to adapt and solve problems. I also looked for titles and headings that matched my topic to save time. This helped me stay focused and not get distracted by unrelated information. I learned how to scan pages quickly to find useful details. This helped me a lot because I didn’t waste time searching for sources. I was able to find many good websites quickly because I was prepared. My strategy made the whole process easier and less stressful. Overall, my research went very smoothly and successfully.

FIELD TRIP TO WORLD VISION!!!
Today will we be going to world vision in nakano-sakaue. Today we had a very enjoyable interview with two employees from world vision about child labor and its consequences.
