My name is Mia, and I live in Tokyo. I am a grade 6 student in Aoba. I’m 11 years old. My hobbies are playing basketball, and drawing pictures. I like to play basketball, because it makes me learn about team working and hone the skill. Drawing helps me to have knowledge with creativity. I’m interested in actors, because acting allows them to express their feelings, that's how I think with that role.
My PYP exhibition's topic is about kidnap/child safety. I chose this topic, because we are children ourselves and I am concerned about how children our age are being put at risk. Also, what the solutions are. In fact, there are videos on the news reporting kidnappings, abductions, and children being put in danger. You can also see them on social media. You can't be sure based on information on social media alone, but you can check to see if it's true. These reasons sparked my interest in child safety.
My name is Yoonha. I am a 6th grader this year. My birthday is April 28th, and I am from Korea. I love trying many things. For example, I like learning new languages such as English or Japanese, sports like skiing, doing digital arts, and participating on group projects. I love my family, friends, desserts, and green(color).
I chose ‘children issues’ as my exhibition topic. Since I’m a child, I think I should be careful myself first, and I think this topic is the most relevant to me. Also, I heard that there are many kid nappers these days. And I thought that was related to me because I don't know when it can happen to me. Those are why I chose this topic for my PYPX.
My name is Solon, and I am a student who enjoys learning about creativity, fashion, and business. I am interested in streetwear, shoes, and how brands influence people my age. In my free time, I like designing clothes, gaming, listening to music, and learning about reselling and entrepreneurship. I also enjoy sports and staying active, which helps me stay focused and motivated.
I chose fast fashion as my PYP Exhibition topic because it affects both people and the environment in serious ways. I became interested in this issue after learning how cheaply made clothes are produced quickly and often thrown away. Fast fashion is important to me because many brands target young people, and not everyone knows the harm it causes to workers and the planet.
