Week 9 (April.13-April.17)
We started drawing the circles on the paper. Some are drawn with a compass but some are hand-drawn. We did this because children working in some industries required to sort item with that product is made properly or not. This will make audience feel same feelings as children working so this will deepen understanding of child labor for audience. We want this to make people work hard, precise, and quick to understand the pressure that kids go through when they work. What went well was that making box to put in the papers circles drawn. What was hard was that drawing circle in compass. It was hard because when making sort circle, if the compass made circle was not clean, that can make mis understanding.
Week 8 (April.6 -April.10)
We made 10 of the 30 circles that we needed to make. We chose 30 circles because that is an average of one circle per second because each person is given 30 seconds to sort the items. This means the players have to be fast and accurate at the exact same time. We will try to make more circle with construction papers.(colored) We already made the box to pur the circles so we will doing circles now.
Week 7 (March.30-April.3)
Our interactive component will be game-like. We will make the audience sort things in 30 seconds.
This will help their understanding of child labor because in some labor, children are required to sort clothes in a short amount of time.
We will write a perfect circle and not perfect circle on paper and fold them. Then we will start the timer with 30 seconds and after the game we will tell them that a child when laboring is required to do work at this speed as long, they will get scolded, and get hurt.
We will have a box of card boards that the top part is open and the area will be divided into sections where specific shapes are separated by dividers and sections where paper is placed.
This is creative because it makes the audience actually do the similar work that children in child labor do.
Steps
Create a box with cardboard
Create a divider with cardboard and put in the box
create a paper with circle drawn(30 of them) (Circle with compass and hand drawn) (Construction paper)
Put those paper in one side of box
Paint outside of the box
