Information updated on 25 Sept 2023
The list below gives a timeline for how students will select their academic programmes and courses for Grades 11 and 12.
All students and parents are encouraged to do some initial reading (on this site) and thinking about DP options.
The Diploma Coordinator will give a presentation outlining the process of choosing subjects for the Diploma Programme
The Diploma Coordinator will give a brief summary of the Diploma Years Information evening outlining the process of choosing subjects for the Diploma Programme. Subject teachers and students from each subject area will be available for information and guidance.
Students must complete their initial subject choices using a Google Form that students will have access to on this site.
Following the submission of their subject choices in February, the Diploma Office will meet with each student individually to discuss their programme. If there are concerns about the suitability of the chosen programme or individual courses, then further consultations involving parents and subject teachers may be scheduled.
Students must complete their initial subject choices using the same Google Form that students will have access to on this site.
Any subject choices or changes made after this date cannot be guaranteed as we will use this selection to set the number of classes offered for the Diploma Programme next year. Courses may become full or unavailable after this selection.
Final subject choices are placed onto the ManageBac timetable during the summer.
Students may request to change subjects (e.g. from History to Geography) up until this date. After this date subject changes are not possible. Level changes (HL to SL in the same subject) and SL Maths stream changes (Analysis to Applications) are still possible after this and dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
