Before completing your course selection, please note this important information:

Deadlines: The deadline for submission of initial subject choices for Grade 10 students is 21st February.  The deadline for submission of final subject choices is 12th  April.  Changes requested after this date can not be guaranteed.

Numbers: All courses are offered according to sufficient student preference. It is not possible to run a large number of courses with a very small number of students in each. Students must be ready to accept a second choice if necessary.

Timetable: Subjects are arranged on the VIS timetable to provide a great variety of courses, but there are likely to be some clashes which will limit choice. There is no guarantee of giving everyone their first choices of course or programme combination.

Mother Tongue: Students may enroll in Mother Tongue language courses for the IB or VIS Diplomas for private tuition.  These enrolments are subject to the approval of the Mother Tongue Coordinator.

Changes: It is possible to make changes to programmes after the courses have started but this becomes more difficult to do as the year progresses.  Changes between subjects need to be requested before the end of September Grade 11. Any changes made at this point are subject to the availability, space, and approval of the Diploma Programme Coordinator.

Regulations: The IB Diploma is governed by the General Regulations of the IB, which can be found here.

University Requirements:  Please note that VIS endeavours to provide the best advice possible to students about university entry, but final responsibility for understanding university entry requirements and making courses selections according to these rests with the student and his/her family.

Please use this  form  to make your initial request (for advising purposes) for courses for the Diploma Years:
