Circuit Simulation

Driving Question: How do Electrical Engineers use Circuit Design Software to create and analyze electrical circuits?

In this project we had to use a Circuit Design Software to develop and understand the different types of electrical circuits. We created simple, parallel, and compound circuits in this project and recorded the voltage and current in each circuit. Once we make our circuit we were also supposed to make a screenshot of our circuits and save it to our Google Drive account.

In this project I learned how electrical circuits function and the similarity and differences of each type of circuit. In series circuits if you take one bulb off the second bulb would also turn off. However, in parallel circuits if you take a bulb off the second one still remains on. Combination circuits are both series and parallel circuits combined in to one complex circuit.

Driving Question: How do Electrical Engineers build physical circuits?

Our next step in this overall electrical circuits project was to make a physical circuit on a breadboard. We were given a couple of wires, a resistor, a switch, and some LED's to build our circuits. We then had to successfully connect and make our ircuits.

The physical version of electrical circuits taught me a lot of new things than the one using the design software. I learned how to solve difficulties along the way such as busted LED's and dysfunctional wires which were not a problem on the computers. I also gained a way larger understanding on electrical circuits now that I can physically use my hands to make the circuits.
