After finishing up with the asynchronous project, Now Serving Display, our focus was turned towards synchronous logic. Using the same system of MSI and SSI logic, I derived a counter that would count up using the clock to 60. The aim is to create a successful timer that can count up to 60 and then clear back to zero using an SPDT switch. The outputs of the logic are then sent through a multiplexer to be then converted into the Seven Segment Displays. I also implemented my knowledge on binary numbers to design the limits to each of the displays. In conclusion, this project allowed me to demonstrate my knowledge on vast concepts we covered in digital electronics class this year, and I enjoyed creating it as well.
