First of all, the reason that I want to reduce overthinking from myself is because I am a person who likes to think over and over with everything; for example, before saying and doing things, during exam time and when feeling bad. This overthinking makes me feel uncomfortable and feel bad about myself, so I want to reduce it.
During the process, I always look at my feelings everyday and record them in the MOODA app to summarize my emotions everyday. I list all the possible things that will make me feel better, such as, create playlist on Spotify and collect all songs that will make me feel relaxed from everything, eat favorite foods / desserts, play games that make me enjoy, go outside or travel to see many different environments, write diary when feeling bad, and talk with people who will give me positive energy.
Lastly, after the procession, I think I can use the ways that I listed to make me feel better. After I write a diary, it makes me feel comfortable and feel better all the time. Other ways also reduce my stress. However, I find that I should be relaxing from my daily life. Don’t be stressed. Don’t think too much about the future. Just try to make today the best as possible. Everything that comes with problems will lead me to a positive impact in future. My mental health is the most important thing that I have to take care of, so try to be happy in life!
I want to lose my weight and be healthy since after grade 11, my weight gained very much. I feel guilty when I see my body looks fat and not healthy. Sometimes when I eat too many snacks and foods that have high calories, I feel very bad and don’t want to eat it anymore, but I still cannot do it. Therefore, I want to be more healthy and not feel guilty with food that I eat every time.
Before doing the process, I list all possible things that will make me reduce weight and be healthy. There will be reduce snacks and desserts that has high calories, exercise more, eat more fruits and vegetables that good for digestion, reduce sodium in food like eat less soup in noodles because it has to put many ingredients that have sodium, try to make food at home by myself to use only limited amount of ingredients and try to use ingredients that has high quality, and drink more than 2 liters of water per day since water will help increase metabolic rates.
Sadly I have to say that I cannot reduce my weight since it has short time to do it, but I will continue doing it until I can reduce my weight. However, I can complete the goal that I want to be more healthy because I try to exercise regularly and eat healthy food which will not make me feel guilty about eating food and I’m still enjoying every meal. I learned that I don’t have to cancel eating some food, but I can eat it in small amounts and exercise daily. Also, I have to remind myself that I have to eat enough calories per day, so it will not have negative effects in future.
In the first interview, I didn't know how to answer correctly yet, so I try to answer in the way that I understand. I spent quite a bit of time preparing questions and answers before the first interview. I try to remember all the scripts and prepare a simulation interview with my friends to recheck the length of time that I use for the interview. During the first interview, I did not feel very stressed and I can answer with the script that I prepared, but some questions have to be answered in different ways. Mr. Adam, who is my mentor, said that I should use more specific vocabulary, try to avoid negative remarks, talk about my four personal traits, and have to answer only the questions that they ask. If I want to tell more about my hobbies or interests, I have to ask them first. Therefore, the score of the first interview was quite low: 4 out of 6.
In the second interview, I used comments from my mentor to improve my answers. I tried to use more specific words, added my positive traits, put some examples to make them reliable, and tried to answer whether sometimes I cannot remember the script, I have to answer it clearly and confidently. This time I practiced a lot because I felt nervous about the script since it was quite long and used a lot of hard vocabulary. After the last interview, my mentor said that I did better a lot than the first time since I used his comments to apply to this interview. This time I got 6 out of 6!
