In unit 3, I studied Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. After finishing this topic, I have to do a summative analytical essay to show how I understand the theme, plot, symbolism, and Melinda’s character. This is individual work, so I have to show how I understand the topic. First, I have to do the graphic organizer to organize the things that I want to write. Next, I write the 1st draft because I have to send it to the teacher for checking. The teacher gives me the part that I have to edit. After I edit the 1st draft, I write the final work. I try to show how I understand this very much. I learned a lot from Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. This story makes me practice reading and writing; how to analyze the story. I have some problems when I work like I use many repetitions of words and I can’t write it clearly so I have to practice more about writing.
