I got a lot of knowledge from doing the Arun Health Garden(AHG) internship since it was my first time doing it. Working outside the school was also very challenging; at first, it scared me, but during my internship at AHG, the supervisors always helped me and made me feel confident to ask questions. I learned many skills, such as interacting with new people; I always have to be enthusiastic to greet the older people at the clinic. In the office, I have to behave like I was at school, which is to be calm and follow their rules; each place has its own set of rules. As for communication, it is very important to communicate with other people since I only know some things. I have to ask the seniors or the people who work in that part, with a polite voice, to get the information that I need. Also, since the work I have to do is project-based, I have to research questions that no one can answer by myself, and sometimes use the knowledge I have to brainstorm with other people and exchange information.
Looking back on the goals I set before the internship, I got to know the company's process in each part of the clinic. Some parts have to physically count the money by themself before sending it off to other parts. Some parts have to use a program to help them, but they also have to physically count the money to verify. Even if a single baht is lost, they would not be able to continue. For the objective, I came back knowing more about what I will study at the university. I received a lot of knowledge from AHG; for instance, the environments in the clinic and how therapists help patients differ from hospitals. AHG is like a house or a place that will make you feel better. I adapted the knowledge I learned from school to use in that place, like following the rules they have. I had to be more hard-working there when compared to at school to achieve the goal that I had set for myself and the group work. Sometimes the information I know is different from what I asked; when this happens, I will listen to them and try to brainstorm and exchange many ideas until I know the correct one. After the internship ends, I know many parts that I have to change about myself to be a better person. I would like to thank AHG very much for teaching me many things.
