Instruction:

    • Review with students what we know about robots?
    • What is a simulator?
    • Introduce Lego WeDo 2.0 kits with students:
      • organization of kits - compartment labeling, identification of pieces
      • responsibilities using kits
    • Introduce WeDo 2.0 App
      • organization
      • step by step building diagrams
      • coding using Blockly concepts
        • review importance of sequence and debugging
    • Model and guide students through build together reviewing skills
    • Students choose prompt from WeDo 2.0 app
      • Collaborate together to research, take notes, cite sources and apply information.
      • Collaborate together to build simulator using Lego WeDo kit.
      • Collaborate together to create code.
      • Reflect on how the simulator emulates research
      • Students manipulate build or code to take their knowledge further
      • Students are given an opportunity to share their knowledge and learning with others.
