Instruction:
Explore Bloxels website, play Bloxels game in the app, read through tutorials
Students write down any questions they have as they explore
Decide on groupings of students
Spend a couple of sessions planning the game-premise, obstacles, characters, end goal and so on in any format selected. We used paper.
Work on developing or drawing characters on grid paper
Begin building game.
Each time we started working, we would view a new tutorial so the students were aware of that resource.
As we worked, students became quite proficient in different areas and would then become resident experts.
After ample time creating rooms, provide an opportunity for an organized
evaluation
system.
After giving feedback, give time for groups to digest that feedback and decide what changes they will need to make.
A cutoff date will need to be established or the kids will just continue to add and change game elements.
When complete, schedule time for kids to play one another's games.
