Temporary Lodging

As soon as you receive your itinerary, email it to your school’s secretary.

Camp Zama:

A room will be reserved for you and your family in our Zama Army Lodging. If on-base temporary lodging is not available, arrangements will be made for you off base.

NAF Atsugi:

There are two TLF facilities available on base: Navy Lodge and Navy Gateway Inn and Suites. If on-base temporary lodging is not available, arrangements will be made for you off base.

TLF Lodging is similar to a hotel and will be your temporary home. While you wait for housing, you will be responsible for paying for your lodging fees. You can pay on a weekly or biweekly basis, and credit cards are accepted.

Keep all receipts and submit them regularly through the DoDEA Allowance Processing System (DAPS) for full reimbursement with your Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA). You are authorized up to 90 days TQSA in TLF while you search for a home. For more information about TQSA, click here.

Your Household Goods (HHG) and unaccompanied baggage (express shipment) will not be available to you while you are staying in TLF. You will only have what you bring with you or mail ahead of time.
