This is the first copy I had of the memorial piece that I made for my best friend, Carson. It has a white border that isn't visible because of the color of the site. This is when I had finished cutting out the background of the photos and finding a way to place them together that worked well. It's all photos I took of her in Photography, except the one on the right with the blue dress and brown jacket.
I took a cutout of her from many photos I took previously and pieced them together as best I could. I wanted it to flow well and not be cluttered. I also aimed to level out proportions and angles.
I'm very, very, very proud of the final product and it is one of my favorite works I've made. It was a way for me to honor Carson, who was so amazing and that I love with my whole heart. She was basically my sister; we always treated each other as family. I also made this because my school, in my opinion, was not honoring her the way she deserved - given everything she's done for my district and has impacted almost every single student since she was in 6th grade. This was my way of making sure she can have the treatment and recognition she deserved and should've been given sooner.
