The goal of this assignment was to get basic understandings of shapes, using different techniques for specific textures, practicing different line techniques, understand how to make an animated gif, and keeping the gif a loop, etc.
This is my sketch of the frames for my GIF animation. Prior to this, I never had any experience with animation. I didn't understand a single thing about it, and when going over the assignment, I thought the final product was supposed to be just in pencil. I later learned the class was supposed to put it into illustrator and design it instead. Despite of that, I'm still very proud of my work and it looks really good for a beginner.
This is the story board I made for the animation but I trashed the background because I couldn't keep each section have a similar/exact background. They were all a bit off that I felt better removing the background entirely for the final product.
This is the final product of my first animation. I think I did very well in keeping the depth of the ball, the details, and shape. I think the shadow part was also good, but it could use improvement with lighting aspects in keeping it realistic.
