For this assignment, my peers and I had to draw three sketches for a sticker and chose whichever one. Then, put it into illustrator, design it using the proper colors, correct settings, and ensuring the file was set perfectly, and then print it out on the correct machine.
These are my sketch ideas for the sticker project. I made two new ones and decided to include a sketch from the Vector/Raster project. Each of these sketches were made just by creativity, but I needed a reference for the Vector/Raster design because of the arms. I chose to go with the astronaut design, but I did want to do the Vector/Raster design. I just never got to printing it as a second sticker. Since I made the second sketch too big, and the hair wasn't proportional, I didn't want to use it but I would like to go back to it.
This is the final design for the astronaut sticker I made. The max amount of color allowed was three, so I tried thinking of what seemed most "astronaut-y". I knew I needed black right away, so I went through the Roland Swatch colors to see what to do. I chose grey and orange because it fit very well together and the orange added the brightness I wanted to it, since the grey and black make it slightly bland/dark.
This is the final design with the cut contour for the printer to make the cut mark. It also has the background color for the outerpart of the printed sticker.
