In this assignment, we had to chose a photo and filter it on photoshop. Then use text to make the object/person in illustrator, using kerning, leading, opacity, color, size, etc.
This is the filtered photo of Kendrick Lamar that I chose. We got to choose how much the filter effects the photo, so we had to ensure there were enough layers for us to do the text. We were meant to use our chosen photo as a guideline.
This is the final product of my assignment. The kerning and leading didn't get all of the text into some small spaces, which left gaps and was the only problem with this. It turned out much better than I thought it would, as this was my first time trying something like this, and I'm very proud of my work.
