本課程以「農曆新年」為主題,透過英文引導學生認識傳統節慶文化。課程內容包含節日的起源、傳統習俗(如貼春聯、發紅包、吃年夜飯)、吉祥話(如“Happy New Year”與“Wish you good fortune”)、年獸的故事以及與節慶有關的英語詞彙與句型。教學方法採用故事導入、歌曲學習、學習單撰寫等多元方式,讓學生在沉浸式的英語環境中自然學習語言與文化知識。
This course centers on the theme of the Lunar New Year and uses English as a medium to guide students in exploring traditional cultural celebrations. The curriculum includes the origin of the festival, traditional customs such as putting up spring couplets, giving red envelopes, and having reunion dinners, as well as auspicious phrases like “Happy New Year” and “Wish you good fortune.” Students will also learn about the The Story of Nian and related English vocabulary and sentence patterns associated with the holiday.
A variety of instructional methods are used, including storytelling, singing, and worksheet-based activities. These diverse approaches help create an immersive English learning environment, enabling students to naturally acquire language skills while deepening their understanding of cultural traditions.
在本課程中,學生將學習有關「年獸」的傳統傳說,了解這隻神話中的怪獸如何在農曆新年期間出現,以及人們如何利用紅色裝飾、鞭炮和巨響來嚇走牠。透過有趣的英文故事時間,學生不僅能增進對節慶文化的認識,也能學習與新年相關的英文詞彙與表達方式。
In this lesson, students will learn the traditional legend of Nian, a mythical beast that appears during the Lunar New Year. Through an engaging English storytelling session, students will discover how people used red decorations, firecrackers, and loud sounds to scare Nian away. The lesson helps build cultural understanding while reinforcing vocabulary related to New Year traditions.
介紹農曆新年的各種傳統習俗,如貼春聯、吃年夜飯、發紅包、拜年與穿新衣等。學生將透過圖片、影片、詞彙學習與互動活動,了解這些習俗的意義,並學習相關的英文詞彙與句型,在實際語境中運用英語表達傳統文化。
This lesson introduces students to traditional customs of the Lunar New Year, such as putting up spring couplets, having a reunion dinner, giving red envelopes, visiting relatives, and wearing new clothes. Through visuals, videos, vocabulary practice, and interactive activities, students will learn the meaning behind these traditions and use related English words and phrases to describe them in real-life contexts.
帶領學生學習與農曆新年相關的英文新年歌曲。透過唱歌活動,學生能在輕鬆有趣的氛圍中練習英文發音與句型,並認識歌曲背後所代表的節慶文化與祝福意涵。
In this lesson, students will learn festive songs related to the Lunar New Year. Through singing activities, students can practice English pronunciation and sentence patterns in a fun and engaging way, while also gaining an understanding of the cultural meanings and blessings conveyed through the songs.
在今年的新年主題教學中,我們特別結合了書法與英語課程,展現跨領域教學的創意與深度。書法課邱文仕老師帶領中高年級學生創作春聯作品,並匯集學生佳作,於校園一隅精心布置了一面大型的春聯打卡牆,營造出濃厚的節慶氛圍,也展現學生對傳統文化的認識與創意。
為了讓尚未開設書法課程的一、二年級學生也能參與其中,英語課的芷涵老師特別設計了專屬學習單,靈感取自文仕老師的打卡牆。學生在課堂中不僅學習與春聯相關的英文詞彙與祝福語,還能動手創作屬於自己的迷你春聯打卡牆,體驗書法與英語結合的趣味,將文化學習內化為富有個人風格的作品。
透過此次跨域合作,我們希望學生不僅在語言學習上有所成長,也能從中體會傳統文化的美好,並以多元角度表達對新年的祝福與期待。
As part of this year’s Lunar New Year curriculum, we integrated calligraphy and English classes to create a meaningful cross-disciplinary learning experience. Mr. Wen-Shih Chiu, the calligraphy teacher, guided upper-grade students in creating traditional spring couplets. Their outstanding works were curated into a large, eye-catching photo wall on campus, showcasing both the festive atmosphere and students’ appreciation of cultural traditions.
To ensure that first and second graders—who have not yet begun formal calligraphy lessons—could also participate in the celebration, English teacher Erin designed a creative worksheet inspired by Mr. Chiu’s spring couplet wall. In the English class, younger students learned New Year–related vocabulary and greeting phrases, and then used their creativity to design their own mini spring couplet “photo walls,” combining language learning with hands-on cultural expression.
Through this collaborative project, students not only improved their English skills but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture. The activity allowed them to explore the spirit of the New Year from multiple perspectives and express festive blessings in their own unique ways.

美麗又吸睛的春聯打卡牆
本學習單結合創意美術與語言學習,設計成迷你版的春聯打卡牆,讓學生能透過著色活動,增進對傳統文化符號的認識與美感培養。學習單中特別融入圖中由蛇形狀排列而成的英文字母,學生需根據提示寫出正確答案,訓練觀察力與字母辨識能力,並加深對節慶英文詞彙的理解與運用。
此外,圖片素材採用AI生成技術,展現新北市推動的科技力與創新教育理念。透過將傳統文化與現代科技結合,不僅激發學生的學習興趣,也培養其跨領域整合與未來能力,展現教育與科技並進的趨勢。
This worksheet integrates creative art and language learning by offering a mini version of the spring couplets photo wall. Through coloring activities, students enhance their appreciation of traditional cultural symbols and develop their artistic skills. The worksheet features English letters formed by the shape of a snake, where students are required to observe carefully and write the correct answers. This activity sharpens their observation skills and letter recognition, while reinforcing vocabulary related to the Lunar New Year.
Moreover, the images used are generated by AI technology, showcasing the technological advancements promoted by New Taipei City. By combining traditional culture with modern technology, this approach not only stimulates students’ interest in learning but also fosters interdisciplinary integration and future-ready competencies, reflecting the trend of education advancing alongside technology.
