在這次與菲律賓小朋友的線上相見歡中，我看見孩子們眼中那份純真的期待與喜悅。第一次見面，他們用英文努力打招呼、分享笑聲，隔著螢幕也能感受到彼此的溫度。第二次，孩子們帶著驕傲介紹台灣的珍珠奶茶、雞排、牛肉麵與滷肉飯，不只是介紹食物，更是在說故事，說著屬於我們土地的味道與情感。身為老師，我深深相信，語言不是目的，而是橋樑，讓孩子走出去，也讓世界走進來。從這樣真誠的交流開始，他們正在用自己的方式，學習尊重、理解與連結，這就是國際觀最溫柔的模樣。而我們的任務，就是守護他們的好奇心，讓世界的種子，在他們心中靜靜發芽。

In this online exchange with students from the Philippines, I saw the pure excitement and joy in our children's eyes. During the first meeting, they tried their best to say hello in English and shared laughter. Even through a screen, we could feel the warmth. In the second session, our students proudly introduced Taiwanese snacks like bubble tea, fried chicken, beef noodles, and braised pork rice. They weren’t just talking about food—they were sharing stories, sharing the taste and feelings of our land.
As a teacher, I truly believe that language is not the goal, but a bridge—to help children step out into the world, and let the world come in. Through this honest exchange, they are learning to respect, understand, and connect with others. This is the most beautiful form of global awareness. Our job is to protect their curiosity, and let the seeds of the world quietly grow in their hearts.

Our First Time Talking in English with New Friends from the Philippines!
第一次開口說英文、第一次介紹台灣小吃，原來這麼有趣！

我一開始超緊張，因為要用英文說話！
可是菲律賓的學生很親切，我就沒那麼害怕了～我介紹的是珍珠奶茶，沒想到他們也喝過，覺得好驚喜！
I was really nervous at first because I had to speak English! But the students from the Philippines were very nice, so I wasn’t scared anymore. I talked about bubble milk tea, and they said they had tried it too!

我很喜歡這次的活動，因為可以用英文交朋友！
我介紹的是滷肉飯，他們覺得很特別～我還學會怎麼用英文說「香香的、鹹鹹的」！
I really liked this activity because I could make friends in English! I talked about braised pork rice. They said it was special! I also learned how to say “yummy and salty” in English!

我們準備介紹台灣小吃的時候超有趣，大家一起找圖片、畫圖，還一起練習怎麼說。
我介紹的時候，他們很認真聽，我覺得超有成就感！
Getting ready for the food talk was really fun! We looked for pictures and practiced together. When I shared, they listened carefully. I felt so proud!

我一開始有點害羞，不太敢講英文～
但我一說出「I am from Taiwan」，就覺得好開心！
我介紹的是牛肉麵，他們都說「Wow！」感覺很想吃！
I was a little shy at the beginning and didn’t want to speak. But when I said “I am from Taiwan,” I felt really happy! I introduced beef noodle soup, and they all said “Wow!”

這是我第一次跟外國人講話，我用英文說「我最喜歡牛肉麵」，他們聽了都說想吃吃看！我發現只要勇敢說，就會發現英文沒有那麼可怕～
It was my first time talking to foreign students. I said “My favorite food is beef noodle soup,” and they wanted to try it! I learned that if I’m brave, speaking English isn’t scary at all!
