STEP one: Choosing What Students will Do

Student Activities

Teachers identify one day during the month and have the students complete a specific activity. An activity is usually one or two lessons where students complete a single project. The projects are usually unplugged and require minimal materials.

Student Projects

Teacher may choose to have students work on multiple activities to complete a culminating project. The projects usually consist of a series of lessons connected to the CS Practices and Concepts. A project may involve unplugged and online activities that lead to a final project. The activities usually require general materials with some specific requirements.

CS Units

Teachers schedule a full unit for multiple weeks that incorporates specific CS lessons and activities to complete a final project. The different activities can be unplugged, online or both, each incorporating a specific CS Practice or Concept. and may require more specific materials.
