email from Epic Team:
Hello,
We know things are feeling uncertain, and even a little scary right now, for so many of you and your students. We feel it too and want to help.
Starting today, we’re offering your students Remote Access to Epic for FREE for through the end of the school year (June 30th) — no credit card required — to empower your students to keep reading and learning at home during COVID-19 school closures. Your students will have anywhere, anytime access to the full Epic library on all devices, and you can stay connected by assigning books or collections and monitoring their progress.
We’re asking you to please share an invitation directly with parents/guardians, since students can only take advantage of this free access if you send their parents or guardian a Remote Student Access invitation through your teacher account so you can see their progress.
Here’s how to get them that invitation:
1. Visit your Roster Page on a desktop computer
2. Click the “Send Invite” button and enter the parent email address
3. Click “Send Invite” and an email will be sent directly to the parent. The email will invite the parent to set up an account and connect to the classroom. This will be free of charge and no credit card will be required during signup.
You will receive an email confirmation once the parent signs up, and you can monitor your students’ remote access status directly from your roster.
Do you know other educators who may be interested?
New Epic teachers must create their free educator account, upload their rosters, and send the Remote Student Access invitation to their students' families.
As we navigate this situation together, we know that reading and consistency for students is incredibly important and top of mind for you.
Please be aware that we are receiving an extremely high volume of inquiries and will get back to you as soon as we possibly can. We thank you in advance for your patience.
Warmly,
The Epic Team
