Seesaw

  • Instead of posting assignments to their website, the teacher could send out assignments via Seesaw. This is similar to how many teachers post their newsletters to Seesaw. Teachers can upload videos to Seesaw. “Activities” in Seesaw, though, may be too difficult for students to do at home.

Teachers can post in Seesaw which then informs parents.

  • The teacher can take a picture, create a drawing, video, upload files saved to your computer (or phone), notes which are text only, and links (to a website).

Learn to Use Seesaw

Below are videos that teach Seesaw users (teachers) the steps to posting. If you are interested in LIVE webinars, here is where you can see the dates and sign up.

Note: At St. Rita, teacher accounts, student accounts, and classes are already created. When you see that step in the videos, you can be know you already have that set up.

Seesaw reminders:

You can upload items from Google Drive to Seesaw using either the “Upload” or the “Link” options. Please make sure you have “shared” items in Google Drive so that anyone with the link can view it.

  • This means you can create one document/slideshow (Google Doc or a Google Slide) and send this information easily with your parents/students using Google to create and Seesaw to share/send.

    • The Doc/Slide can have links on it, images, videos, etc. Make sure on Google Doc/Slide you SHARE it so that anyone with the link can view it. All you would have to do after you completed your Doc/Slide is to use Seesaw to “Upload” or to “Link” the desired file (steps discussed above) and share it with families.
