St. Rita eLearning

Welcome!

This platform is to help teachers and families. We are constantly updating this site as we recognize needs of staff and families.

Due to the limitations and constraints of email, we have chosen two main methods for posting assignments. Seesaw will be used for elementary and Google Classroom utilized for middle school. We understand there are many options for submitting work online. We have chosen methods that the majority of our students and teachers are proficient in using.

PreK-3

Students and teachers will use Seesaw as their main form of eLearning.

Teachers will post directions for students via Seesaw which will notify parents of the assignment.

Students will complete the activity. If submission is needed, then the student will upload an image of their completed assignment or complete a Seesaw Activity in the app.

Device: Students in elementary will be posting to Seesaw via website or app, depending on the home device they use. Parents received their unique HOME use login which will work with Seesaw CLASS app (see Seesaw section on this site under Families). From the Seesaw information site, you will find a link to the Apps you can use (iOS, Kindle, Google Play, etc.). Elementary students can use an iPad, tablet, laptop, Chromebook, etc.

Note: The main reason we are utilizing Seesaw is due to the fact that all families are already receiving updates and notification this way.

4th -8th grades

Students and teachers will utilize Google Classroom as their main form of eLearning.

Teachers will post directions for students via Renweb directing students to assignments in Google Classroom. Teachers will post assignments via Google Classroom by 9 am each morning.

Students will start in Renweb for directions. Then go to Google Classroom to locate assignment. Students will submit their work via teacher's assignment in Google Classroom.

Device: Middle School students will receive their Chromebook during our March 24th student supplies pick up. (See Mike Wixted's email from 3/19/2020 for specifics.) Otherwise, a laptop similar device works well. If using an iPad, students will need all the Google Apps loaded (Classroom, Drive, Docs, Slides, etc.).

Note: The purpose of starting in Renweb will allow parents to also be informed of the assignment and teacher directions.
