Welcome to Flocknote!

St. Margaret Mary Parish is moving to Flocknote! As I sent out previously, this system lets us communicate even better with our parishioners via email and text capabilities.

You do not have to create an account with Flocknote to get the emails; however, it does let you view previous emails sent, sign up for specific groups, and make sure your information is up-to-date. So I highly encourage it if you can! Additionally, there is an app for your phone that will let you view all of this information as well.

If you haven't signed up yet, feel free to use the form and sign up! We want to make sure you and your family are staying up to date on all the latest youth ministry opportunities here at St. Margaret Mary.

Taize Prayer Service this Sunday

This weekend, due to other ministries happening around the Church and in the spirit of Lent, we are inviting our youth, their families, and our young adults to join us for a Taizé Prayer Service Sunday evening at 7 PM at St. Margaret Mary in the Church. There will be no junior high youth gathering at 3:30 PM or senior high at 6 PM this weekend.

Curious what it is? Never heard of it? Taizé Prayer is a distinctive style of meditative prayer developed by an ecumenical community of monks in rural France. This quiet, moving reflective prayer combines elements of the Church's traditional Liturgy of the Hours with elements of contemplative meditation. A typical Taizé prayer service incorporates periods of silence with meditative readings from Scripture, prayers of praise and intercession, and the frequent repetition of simple, contemporary chants based on the Psalms or other parts of Scripture. Short songs or chants, repeated over and over, create a meditative environment and express basic realities of faith which can be easily grasped by the mind and the heart. The result is to gradually move prayer from the head to the heart.

Pope Francis Wants to Hear from You!

Pope Francis has called a synod on synodality, a two-year process where the People of God (that means you!) are being invited to reflect on what it means to journey forward together as a Church.

You're being asked to participate because you are a valuable member of our Church! In this intentional process of mutual listening, Pope Francis wants us to rediscover the joy of being the People of God who journeys together, listening to everyone.

We warmly welcome you to join us for an in-person listening session at our church where, guided by the Holy Spirit, we will reflect, share, and listen to one another.

On Sunday, March 20th, from 6:30-8 PM, St. Margaret Mary will be hosting a Youth & Young Adult focused listening session. While everyone is invited, we wanted to make sure we provided the opportunity to for our youth and young adults to make sure you know you have a voice and the Church is listening to you!

Lenten Family Prayer Service

Have you ever cried out to the Lord for a loved one or for yourself? Suffering from a burden, family division, death of a loved one, bullying, chronic illness, caregiving, loneliness, trauma, stress, anxiety, depressions, divorce, addictions, loss of a job, temptations that overwhelm, etc. We have all either experienced a burden beyond our control or know of someone that has and needs our prayers. Join us for our Lenten Family Prayer Service and answer Jesus’s question, “What do you want me to do for you” Give it to our Lord and nail it to the cross.

Bring the whole family out on March 23rd at 6:30 PM in church and join us for this beautiful prayer service.

Upcoming Lenten Holy Hour: Ventus

Mark your calendars for Ventus on April 6th! Join us for this beautiful Holy Hour filled with contemporary music, the opportunity for confession, and concludes with Benediction. We are so excited to bring this wonderful evening of reflection and time to sit at the feet of Jesus, especially as we enter into Holy Week the following week.

Come join us, our community, and Jesus, as we adore the very Source and Summit of our Catholic faith. Everyone is welcome, youth, young adults, adults, families, singles, married, and most importantly, you. You are welcome and invited for this special evening.

Exposition is at 6:30 PM, music and confession will take place from 7-8 PM, with Benediction to conclude the evening.
