Lots of Christmassy fun and crafts this week!
w/c 9.12.24
We have loved playing in our role play area this week! It has been set up as Santa's Grotto and the children have been busy helping the elves to make toys and pack them onto Santa's sleigh. We have also been making Rudolph's out of playdough, writing and posting letters in the writng area, decorating Christmas tress with pom poms in the fine motor area, and making presents using Numicom in the Maths area.

This week we have loved having the Elf arrive and the start of our Christmas preparations. We have enjoyed some Elf themed craft activities, played in the hot chocolate cafe and polar animals in the small world.
w/c 25.11.24 Jack and the Beanstalk
We have read lots of different versions of Jack and the Beanstalk in class this week. We have practising writing words from the story, planted beans, building beanstalks with sticklebricks and lots more!
w/c 18.11.24 The Three Bily Goats Gruff
This week we have enjoyed reading the fairytale of the the Three Billy Goats Gruff. The children have been busy exploring the different areas in the classroom and completing challenges set.
w/c 11.11.24 Goldilocks
Lots of Goldilocks fun this week! The children have also completed their first 'challenge' which was set in the fine motor area. We asked them to choose some toppings for the 3 bear's porridge and to cut and stick these on. We have also enjoyed playing with the castle in the small world area, writing stories, building a house for Goldilocks in the construction, playing with porridge oats, painting bear pictures using forks in the creative area and having story props in the role play.
w/c/ 4.11.24 Cinderella
The children have loved exploring the different resources out in the continuous provision this week! They have been dressing up as knights, kings, queens, princes and princesses in our role play castle. They have been making rockets and building castles in the construction area. We have made our own crowns and practised pencil control by copying patterns on Cinderella's dress.
