11.7.25 Managing Self: My Wellbeing
Manage their own basic hygiene and personal needs, including dressing, going to the toilet and understanding the importance of healthy food choices.
In PSHE this term, the children have been learning about looking after themselves - encouraging independence, the importance of exercise to keep our bodies healthy and having a colourful plate at mealtimes!
Today, the children thought about the colours of different foods and how they could make their plates more colourful - they created a lovely rainbow!

In PSHE, we talked about different celebrations and festivals. We watched a video of the Chinese New Year and had a look at pictures from a Diwali festival. The children used pastels to make Rangoli patterns.

Mindful Monsters - Today we learnt about our Mindful Monster for this term who is called 'Snug.' We talked about what being snug meant and how we can relax to feel snug. The children thought of lots of ways that they could relax themselves and then made their own mindful monster.
13.1.24
In our PSHE lesson today we learnt about why we have rules. We talked about our school rules and why we have them. The children thought about why it was important to have rules and what happens if we break a rule. We played some games in small groups and thought about why we needed to follow the rules in our games and what would have happened if we had not done so. The children said we have rules to keep things fair, safe, to protect ourselves and it make it fun for everyone.
6.12.24 Over the last two weeks, we have been talking about being unique - celebrating our differences and sharing our likes and dislikes. Today, the children drew one of their favourite things - we had a capybara, a football, the beach and cats!
12.11.24 Odd Socks Day
Today we wore odd socks to celebrate odd socks day and the start of anti bullying week. We wear odd socks to celebrate our individuality adn that we are unique! We also talked about how we could be kind to one another and the children came up with lots of lovely ideas, for example sharing, including everyone in our play, and taking turns .

We had fun this afternoon playing a game together.
This term in PSHE, we have identified our feelings and explored different coping strategies to help regulate our emotions. We talked about our own feelings and thought about why we might feel that way.
We started some lessons by singing "If you're happy and you know it!"
We also used a lovely book called "All About Feelings" to explore what happens when our feelings get jumbled!
