There are no attendance restrictions for any of our Confirmation ceremonies. Students and sponsors will sit in the front rows and additional seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
St. John Tuesday, April 23rd 7:00 pm
St. Paul Sunday, April 28th 6:00 pm
Attendance at rehearsal is required for all candidates.
Sponsors do not attend the rehearsal, instead they will get instructions prior to the ceremony.
Rehearsal will take approximately one hour
Robes will be distributed at the end of rehearsal.

Please do not come to the ceremony if you are sick, or if you have recently been exposed to someone who is sick.
Students and sponsors should arrive promptly at 6:15 pm.
If a sponsor cannot attend the ceremony a proxy can stand in for them, the proxy CAN be a parent.
When you get to the Hall bring your robe on the hanger in plastic and put it on here – the hanger and plastic go in the trash. You MUST return your robe in the Hall after the ceremony.
Students sit in the seat with their name on the back and the sponsor/proxy sits behind them.
The Bishop and Fr. Jim will speak with the candidates in the Chapel.
The ceremony will be a full Mass and will last about 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
In order to observe the appropriate reverence for the Sacrament please refrain from taking pictures or using video cameras during the ceremony.
Procession: Candidates and sponsors will process from the Chapel out the side door and around to enter the front of the Church. No hats, cell phones, gum.
Presentation of the Candidates: As candidate names are called you will stand and remain standing until all names have been read.
Renewal of Baptismal Promises: Candidates will all stand & answer “I do” to the questions asked by the Celebrant.
Anointing: Each row will stand one row at a time and sit after all in the row have returned. One-by-one the candidate and sponsor will be cued up to approach the Celebrant for the anointing with chrism. Once in place,
Your sponsor will say: “Bishop this is [Name]”.
The Bishop will anoint you & say: “[Name] Be sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit”.
You will respond, “Amen”.
The Bishop will say “Peace be with you”.
You will respond, “And with your spirit”.
You and your sponsor will return to your pews and sit.
Mass will continue as usual. At the end of Mass, the priests and altar servers will recess. You should remain standing in your pews.
The Celebrants will return for picture-taking.
A reception in your honor will be held in the Parish/Powers Hall. You MUST head to the Hall to return your robe but we also hope you and your family can join us, even if only briefly to celebrate and enjoy some refreshments.
Robes must be returned to the designated area in the Hall before you leave. Make sure your names gets checked off.
