What is the production process, and what are the resources and time commitments needed to complete the video? This can be difficult to conceptualize, since production methods and pedagogical approaches overlap, but are distinct. In some cases, pedagogy will dictate a particular production method. But more often, several options will be available to you, and the decision of which to choose will be partly a matter of logistics.Â
Many of the production methods can be used in tandem with one another. For example, a video recorded in the studio might also include a screen recording and additional animation cues created after the fact. Scoping your videos and determining which production methods will be used will be an important decision made in collaboration with Educational Technologists during scripting.
