The music program at St. Dorothy Catholic School strives to awaken and refine the musical interests of our young students through a curriculum that is culturally responsive, student-centered, and encourages creativity.

TEACHER BIO

Ryan Nearhoff is an educator, musician, performer, music minister, and proud Glendora native. He attended St. Louise de Marillac in Covina before graduating from Damien High School in 2001. Ryan was a member of the local and world-renowned Citrus Singers prior to receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre from Cal State University, Fullerton. After his time at Fullerton, he moved to New York City where he spent the next seven years working as a professional actor and musician. Ryan's artistic endeavors took him around the world performing in theatrical shows, corporate gigs, and concert venues. Before moving back home to California he spent two years performing aboard Disney Cruise Line with his beautiful wife, Lauren. In addition to his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, Ryan holds a Masters in Urban Education with an emphasis in Administration from LMU and is in the final stages of completing his Single Subject Credential in Music. He loves his job at St. Dorothy and looks forward to the many years to come!
