Kindergarten

My name is Mrs. Jaclyn Chidester. I was born and raised in Artesia, California where I attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School. I continued my Catholic education at St. Joseph High School in Lakewood, California. I then went on to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Ethnic Studies and a Minor in Education from the University of California, Riverside. I received my Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Fullerton.

In 2008, I joined the St. Dorothy family as the fifth grade teacher. In 2015, I received a Master's Degree in Education with a focus in Teacher Leadership and my Clear Credential from Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles.

In the fall of 2015, I began teaching kindergarten and have loved every moment of it! I believe that it is my role as the Kindergarten teacher to provide your child with a nurturing and safe learning environment in which our Catholic faith is evident in our daily routines.

I currently reside in Covina with my two daughters and husband. We are parishioners here at St. Dorothy Church. I am blessed to be a part of such a faith filled community as both a teacher and a parent at St. Dorothy Catholic School.
