My name is Sue Sweetman. I have had the privilege of instructing the students of St. Dorothy Catholic School since 1998. I began in 5th grade and graduated up to 8th grade. Presently, I instruct the jr. high students (6th - 8th) in Social Studies, and Language. I also instruct 8th grade in Literature.
I received my bachelors degree and clear California teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach. I continued my education by attending the University of La Verne Law School obtaining my Juris Doctorate (JD) and certified by the California State Bar. In addition to my position at St. Dorothy School, I am an adjunct instructor at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut and Pasadena City College in Pasadena.
I am Distance Learning Certified (DL) meaning I have received training and completed/passed the appropriate tests and performance skills to become certified in online instruction. I have also received fundamental training for online instruction through Google classroom. Your child will receive the instruction (in-class and online) necessary for him or her to advance academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
My four children attended St. Dorothy Catholic School receiving an excellent academic foundation that has enabled each of them to attend and graduate from amazing universities - University of San Francisco, Azusa Pacific University, and Gonzaga University.
Although this is a challenging time for all, know that all students are part of the St. Dorothy Catholic School family - and family watches out for each other. I am blessed to be a part of St. Dorothy Catholic School family -
