When people think of publishing, they think of editing books all day, but these videos demystify the industry and sheds light on the potential career options available.
My name is Eleanor and I manage a publishing YouTube channel which has been recognised by the likes of BookMachine, The Bookseller and The Publishing Training Centre.
Video content highlights interviews with publishing professionals from across the publishing world, including organisations such as Penguin Random House, Hachette and Bloomsbury.
As well as interviews, there are also videos covering a breadth of knowledge of trade for students to learn from.
I'd be grateful if you were able to share the channel with your teachers to pass onto students, particularly sixth form students who may be looking at university options.
I'm attaching a letter to teachers with more information that may make it easier to share.
I am open to events, also, if this is something you are interested in. I have extensive experience delivering talks on getting into the publishing industry. With a non-traditional route into publishing without going to university, this is often something that strikes a cord with older students.
