Focus: Place value to 100 & fluent addition/subtraction

Incoming Grade 2 students should know how to:

• Add and subtract within 20 from memory

• Understand place value: hundreds, tens, ones

• Measure in inches and centimeters

• Tell time to the half hour

• Identify coins and their values

• Count and write numbers to 120

• Add within 100 and subtract multiples of 10

• Recognize halves and fourths
