3D printing or additive manufacturing is a process of making three dimensional objects from a digital file.
The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created. Each of these layers can be seen as a thinly sliced cross-section of the object.
To send parts to be 3D printed we must first turn our .ipt to an .stl
In the part file (.ipt) select the following:
File -> Export -> CAD format
Change the format to .stl
Save
Repeat for the other puzzle pieces
Compose a new email to your teacher
Type your desired color (cubes will be printed in one color) in the subject of the email
Type your desired color again in the body of the email
Click the paperclip at the bottom of the email to attach your STL files
