In this exercise, you will be creating Circular Pattern Features. These are used to duplicate one or more features in a radial pattern using a specified count and spacing. You can arrange the features in a circular pattern at specific angles, suppressing individual features if desired.
In a new 2D sketch, create a 3" diameter circle and extrude .1"
Draw a 1.5" circle on the cylinder you created above and use the Tangent constraint to bring the circle to the edge of the cylinder.
Use the Offset tool to create a circle that is .1" smaller than the original.
Finish sketch.
Extrude the shape shown .1" with a -15 degree taper.
Use the Circular pattern tool to copy an extrusion in a circular pattern 10 times around the base cylinder.
Features = Click what you want to copy
Rotation Axis (red cursor) = Where do you want to "spin" your copy around?
Save as "Circular Pattern Part 1"
