Mirror Pattern Features

Mirrored features are used to mirror one or more features at equal distances across a plane.  Features can be mirrored to create and maintain complex symmetry. 

Create a 5" x 5" x 1" box

Start a new 2D sketch on the box and use a Spline to draw an organic shape.  

Extrude the shape .1"

We want to mirror this shape to the other side, but we need to establish a mirror plane for the object to be reflected over.  Create a Midplane Between Two Planes by selecting the top and the bottom of the box. 

Use the Mirror tool to create a copy of your shape reflected across a plane.

Features = What do you want to copy?

Mirror Plane = Where are you reflecting it over?

Save as "Mirror Part 1"
