Problem Opportunity ConceptMap/MindMap
Various ConceptMap/MindMap tools can be useful to organize ideas about the project. Here we look for a concept map about the perceived problem space and opportunities. It is a useful way to capture brainstorming ideas from the two teams and then organize them in a documentation-oriented, visual way.

Recall that the same concept/mindmapping tools can also be useful for describing a design and its requirements. Common decompositions are Design Function/Structure and User/Action/Interaction (click on the example at right).
VUE from Tufts University is free to educational users and has some nice tools for annotating and analyzing the bubble-link graphs.
